Graham Wilkins

Managing Director

Graham is the founder of Rutherford and chairs the investment committee. He is a registered financial advisor with extensive experience gained from being actively involved in the financial services industry for over 35 years in both South Africa and the UK. Prior to founding Rutherford Graham’s career involved asset management, financial advice, entrepreneurship and company management. Over the years Graham has served on the board of directors of several private and public companies.

Maria Wilkins

Marketing Director
BA (Hons) University of Nottingham, Advanced Certificate in Financial Planning

Maria is a registered financial advisor and has over 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry and in financial risk management. Previously she was an owner at Riskworx (Pty) Ltd and has held various corporate management positions. Maria has a special interest in womens’ financial affairs and empowering women to make effective investment decisions.

Pierre de Klerk

CEO & Senior Investment Partner

Pierre is the managing director and a senior portfolio manager at Boutique Investment Partners, an investment consulting and investment management company with group assets of R100 bn. His career in financial services spans over 30 years and began at Old Mutual in actuarial product development and actuarial marketing. After a brief period with Momentum’s Linked Investment Service Provider his career transitioned into pure investment management with Momentum Multi Managers and Advantage Asset Managers. In 2007 Pierre was a founding member of Momentum Investment Consulting (MIC) and as head of investments for MIC South Africa he was responsible for overseeing investments and managing the investment team. When Metropolitan Multi Managers and MIC merged Pierre became an executive director of MIC assuming general management responsibility of the combined business. By 2013 MIC had grown its asset base from R9bn in 2011 to just over R22bn. Pierre was the lead portfolio manager on a range of top performing portfolios during his term at MIC.

Mitsie van der Westhuizen

Senior Research Analyst
BCom (Economics)

With some 30 years of experience as an investment analyst, Mitse is currently a senior research analyst at Boutique Investment Partners, an investment consulting and investment management firm. Her career began with a stint at Citadel Investment Services as a portfolio management assistant. From there she took up a position with Momentum Wealth where she gained valuable experience in dealing with asset swap transactions and foreign investment management companies, before moving to Momentum Multi Managers and over 10 years assimilated extensive expertise as a research analyst, firstly at Momentum’s institutional multi-manager and thereafter at Momentum’s retail multi-manager.
